Try setting in Preferences | Advanced section both "Local IP" and "IP to bind to" with the correct settings.

Uh, no.

I can't tell you why your port is blocked, but it's blocked nonetheless. It may be your ISP.

If it was true what TheSHAD0W says (respect!), you can of course easily change the incoming port range. Did you try the other option mentioned?

Ok update! I found the problem. My ISP uses a transparent proxy  .. Even if I set the two options to my IP nothing changes...Oh and the tracker is not using the 6969 port-that would be too easy- but instead is on port 80 therefore he sees the IP of the http proxy instead of mine. How can I force the tracker to view my IP?

Look for a solution for this in an upcoming version.

Depends on the proxy. The trick is some additions to the tracker code that parses headers added to the request by the proxy. Most such proxies are nice enough to specify the originating IP, though figuring it out can be painful. Unfortunately, until people update their trackers the problem won't be solved.

im not sure i totally understand how the client works..
but if you can see a few other clients, leechers and seeds,
surely the client could ask the other clients if the can see any more leechers or seeds,
wouldnt this get round the transparent proxy problem,
cause the clients dont use port 80 to connect to each other.
though this would be a major change and would only work if the other clients were also capable of doing this..

just a suggestioin would be interested if it would work.

Someone else already suggested something like this with their own proposed get_peers extension that they wanted to have added to the client and TheShadow responded to their proposal.
