same problem here, whenever i download a torrent with multiple files and choose not to download some of them often bittornado 0.3.7 (0.3. attempts to open the nonexistent files and stops with an IO error: file not found ... This is getting very annoying as the downloaded fies get locked and i can't even restart the torrent (error access denied) without restarting windows. This happened on several different mashines with different windows. If someone knows a solution to this, plz drop a line. |

I would assume (but can't be arsed checking) this is caused by file locking under NTFS rather than your error which is for non-NTFS error message, is essentially the same file locking problem so that would seem logical, also possible the error message is different under Win2k and WinXP ??? |

This "feature" appears to have issues due to the way filespace is allocated, as several other threads reporting problems with it show. I think that is possibly causing at least some of these errors. 0.3.17 has the same problem. Apparently a possible patch has been posted in this thread: Forum=Major Problems, Thread=IO Error using pre-allocate and priority list but I have no idea how to add that patch to the program. (too bad I can't just link to the thread so you don't have to dig thru the forum for it, but links are apparently not allowed in posts) |
