In the FAQ, it states that '"Manual Announce" forces the client to reconnect to the tracker. This is useful if your connection dies.'

Does Manual Announce actually do anything then if you don't have a black or red light? I notice that sometimes if I close Bittornado and resume a download, I will sometimes get much better speeds, at least temporarily (presumably because my Snubbed status with various peers gets reset). Clicking Manual Announce seems to do nothing, though.
