Hi i have this java application i wrote myself to aid me in downloading of some torrents by itself. But i got a problem is that i can't find a way to get response from bittornado to tell me the file is complete. I worte this cause i'm away most of the time(weeks or months) but if i leave it on for too long it will choke my network after very long time. So can give me some tips?

Bittornado is written in python and the source is available. Python's a pretty simple language to work with, so you shouldn't have much trouble hacking this sort of thing in to the client.

Just remember: A torrent is "done" when A.) 100% of the file has been downloaded and B.) Your ratio is greater than 1.1 and there is at least one seed *or* your upstream usage is less than half of max there are more seeds than leechers.
