first of sorry if the answer to this has already been given but I can't get any help on thje matter anywhere. My bittornado always remains yellow and i get crappy downloads.. this happened when i first got it but i went through the firewalls and the router and made sure everything worked fine, the light went green and i was happy. Now i switched from cable to dsl and sadly the light went back to yellow the next time i used BT. no matter what i do it always remains yellow and my downloads are terrible. any ideas? The port forwarding for BT is still there and the firewall is set to give bt full access. i am using version s-5.8.1

Did you give yourself a static IP... I had the same problem! I Forwarded through XP, My router and still yellow. I then went to the website below and gave myself a static IP...and bam, the problem went away!

http://www.portforward.com/networking/static-xp.htm

Recently I've been getting slow green lights! Useually I'll manually announce and I'm fine!

You may have a firewall function built into your DSL modem/gateway. If that's the case, you'll need to refer to the manual for the DSL modem/gateway to figure out how to access it's configuration and forward the ports the same way you would with your other firewall(s).

For example, I have an Actiontec DSL gateway with built-in firewall functionality. In order to access its configuration program I just web surf to 192.168.0.1 in order to access the web-based config.

You say you changed your connection. Make sure your new ISP allows incoming signals, cause some internet-packages don't (like my old one).
