what does the finish allocaton in the Details tab do?
is there a way to set tornado to only download specific files?

When you're downloading a torrent, the pieces you get are saved to the disk as soon as you finish them. This means that BT slowly fills up your disk until the torrent is finished. The Finish Allocation option reserves the amount of hard disk needed to finish the torrent, and fills in the spaces as you get finished pieces.
