it saves them as .OGG files, how can I change them to mp3's or am I missing a step in the process?

Must be a bug in BitTornado...

1) BitTornado is a downloading program. What the contents are don't matter to it. Nor is it capable of conversion. You downloaded .ogg files. You got them.

2) Ogg Vorbis audio quality is generally better than MP3 for the same bitrate. Keep them.

Unless you're putting them on a portable MP3 player or something.

I was trying to put them on a cd, and it won't show up :? could you direct me to a program I could use to change them into WAV or MP3?

Well, so much for staying on topic.

I'm pretty sure WinAMP can play .ogg files. And I'm also pretty sure that winamp can convert any file it can play into .wav using the Disk Writer plugin (or words to that effect. I don't use winamp)

The official site at http://www.vorbis.com/ has also a list of software supporting the ogg audio codec.
