Is it possible that 2 computers with the same ip address downloading torrents using bittornado at the same time will result in slow speeds?

i'm using starhub's maxonline. the problem only surface recently and affects only bittorrent, all my other downloads are ok. so i keep wondering if it's my computer or the network? both my download and upload never reach above 10kb/s.

i get what you mean..only p2p is affected..my downloads via download accelerator all work fine...not sure why...

I'm not sure if some areas in Singapore have not been affected yet. My friend at Punggol is not affected at all. Still getting upload of >35k and download of over 100kbps.

I think Pasir Ris is screwed. Now the best solution for me is to use the original Bittorrent Client version 4.0.2. At least I can get max 23kbps download.

yellow light is probably due to firewall? make sure you have ports opened in your firewall for the client u are using...

singnet caps from like 4 plus pm till midnight or so?

Speeds in the morning and early morning are normal...thats why i have to leave stuff overnight when speeds are great..

right click on your computer sign in the task bar and click change windows firewall settings...ensure the port your client is running on is open...for eg Azureus is default 6ooo plus i think...

WTF !! My mate starts downloading a torrent, and his download rate runs around between 30-100. I try downloading the same torrent and my download rate runs at around 5-20 !?!?!?!?! None of us are firewalled, both live in the same area... then i check the Advanced list and see that some person's download rate is at 500+ :!: :?: :!: :?: :!: :?: :!: Connected to 8 peers and 18 seeds with settings set on automatic but i'm only getting any data from 1 person... OMG !!! that person's download rate's gone up higher  DOUBLE YOU TEE EFF !!!! Cock-biting fucktards...

30kB/sec only if u a) open port forwarding and b) use random ports in tornado c) get green button btw. if u get yellow button dun even try  DIE starhub ISP ! dun promise unlimited broadband if u upload limited and dun let us use bit torrent.

if any isp here here open bit torrent i'm sure they will cause other isp to close down hahaha :)
