It seems to me there are 11 pages of people trying to figure out what's wrong with other people's computers. I think it's safe to place the blame on the program.

Another person with the same problem here. 3.11 would 'close' BT but it would still be in the taskmanager until it was killed manually. Seems like the fix in 3.12 is to kill the process regardless. Here is what I get when I click finish or cancel:

Windows XP SP2
(ATI Radeon 9800 Pro)

the error was on my comp as well.. but the only fix i found was the build the binary my self..

used the following..
Python 2.4.1
wxPython2.6-win32-ansi-2.6.0.1-py24
py2exe-0.5.4.win32-py2.4

works perfectly.. doesnt crash on exit.. :)

I got the same problem, its not too big but it can get annoying sometimes.
First I didnt knew what it was, because I though it had something to do with installing a newer version over the older one.

Hope it get fixed. The problem accures at Win98SE as well. I was using that for a few days and I downloaded BT on it.

So a total recompile with another version of Python works. Makes sense if the problem is what I described pages ago... I never got to recompiling BT itself, had big trouble with Python (I never used it before), but 'Guest' apparently did it!

11 page of people saying 'Yep, me too'. Oh, well. At least it confirms I'm not alone.

Back to .10 for me. Thanks for the link.

I personally think it has something to do with it no longer sticking in the task manager, as a previous guest stated above.

So I don't see it as a problem, it's not doing any harm at all. I think I read every post in this thread and I don't think anyone had mentioned that yet. When I first encountered this so-called problem. This was my first thought, since it wasn't sticking in the task manager anymore. I can't believe no one else had thought of or suggested that(aside from the aforementioned guest).

So in all honesty I look at this as a good thing for now. Until the next version.
