After a little testing, I found out how an error like this can be generated. It can occur when BitTornado tries to bind to an IP address that isn't assigned to any network interface/adapter on your machine which can occur if the client was somehow told to bind to the wrong IP address in its settings (since it doesn't bind to a specific one by default). For example, if your internal IP is 192.168.0.100 and you entered that IP in BitTornado's "IP to bind to" setting and then later, your dhcp server (on your router) on your LAN gives you an IP address fo 192.168.0.101 because another machine is using 192.168.0.100. When you later load BitTornado, which was forcibly set to bind to a specific IP address, such as in this example "192.168.0.100", and your IP is now "192.168.0.101", the client is still trying to bind to the old address and thus fails since it isn't assigned to any adapter when it does try.

To fix this in BitTornado, click "Prefs" then the "Advanced" button then in the Advanced Preferences clear out anything in the box to the right of "IP to bind to" then hit "OK" and then "save" to save the settings, then close the client and try starting your bittorrent download(s) again.
