Hi, I was just curious if there was any particular way I could increase my download speed. I've got my upload limited to 80% maximum, I get a green-light for firewall, and still, in well-seeded torrents with a lot of peers, with a total download speed reaching over 2000 kb/s, I still can't seem to get anything over 50 kb/s, when I know I can reach 150 kb/s or higher.

Any suggestions?

Also, I'm not sure why, but occasionally BitTornado will suddenly hog all of my CPU usage, and it'll stop downloading and uploading, along with bringing my internet connection to a screeching halt. Nothing will download or upload until I close the torrent. Anyone know why it happens?

The total download speed is just an averaged overall speed of the peers you are connected to. Divide the total speed by the number of peers and you get an assumed download speed. Your actual speed can be much lower and also much higher, that depends on various things, but often this assumption is surprisingly correct.

High cpu usage peeks and internet freezes could mean, that your system has problems handling high net traffic. That could be the OS, drivers, firewall etc, there are already many posts about such problems.
