 Post subject: Problem 10065

Getting error message:
Problem connecting to tracker - <urlopen error (10065, 'No route to host')>.
Anybody know what this means? Already accounted for my netowrk (port forwarding for nearly everything; opened outbound connections for this tracker - port 9339).

"No route to host" means that there is no path for data to get from your system to the remote one.

It could be because the remote system (the tracker) has been DDoS'd and Null-Routed, or some other issue.

Can you go to the tracker address in a browser?

Tracker address at http://tracker.mahou.org:9339/.
I can open tracker.mahou.org, but not with the 9339 port added.

Judging from the behavior, your ISP is filtering the traffic on port 9339.

If you attempt to directly-browse http://tracker.mahou.org:9339/announce in your browser, you should get a bencoded response that looks something like this:
Code:
d14:failure reason56:unsupported tracker protocol, please upgrade your cliente

If you get something else, your ISP is probably blocking the traffic.

It seems the ISP is blocking. Anything I can do? Will changing the ports I use for torrents help?

Nothing you can do will help.

The only thing that can be done is possibly asking the tracker admins to set up the tracker to listen on additional ports, but there's no guarantees that will work.

Yes it is possible for them to set up a tracker to listen on multiple ports.
