how could I make bit-tornado to download part of all the files listed in the torrent (as in BitComet)? Any neat trick to achieve the same effect?

Supposedly this can be done in BitTornado, but it's kinda buggy.

Click DETAILS, and choose which files you DON'T want and tell it to never download. Then choose the files you DO want and choose download FIRST.

I am using the command-line client (btdownloadcurses.py). Can it also be done?

I don't know, but I doubt it.

yeah it can, it involves giving a parameter with an array of integers. do a search (can't remember the switch off the top of my head).

download first is only needed if there are also some files you want to download later, like if you want it to get the first file of a series so you can preview it to see if it is what you want before getting the rest
