HI,

i have a problem with uplaoding files.
I created a torrent, and uploaded it + files on my webserver.
Now i wanted to seed it with my server, cause its faster done. But if i want start seeding the torrent with "./btdownloadcurses.py XXX.torrent" , the files dont get hashed, it only comes in a new command line a ">"

[root@*** BitTornado-CVS]# ./btdownloadheadless.py ***.torrent
>

Even if i want to enter in the container witch cd XXX it only commes a ">"

[root@*** BitTornado-CVS]# cd ***
>

What does this ">" mean? and how can i start seeding the torrent?

You enter python code OR shell commands there. Show me the command that you are using. You might have spelt something wrong or you are actually running the python script iteself. Try writing "ls / ;" If it shows file list, you are running shell

Has the directory or torrentname hase single or double quotes in it ?
Like ' or " ?
If so try putting a \ before the quote(s).
