I have connections with 150 peers and 9 seeds but still my download speed wont go above 15kb/s. I have enabled port forwarding in my router and it gives a green light but it wont speed up. My upload speed is constantly 20kb/s (256kbit upload conn). I have no idea what the problem could be.. :(

Try capping your upload down to like 15. If your download goes up, then that's because your download/upload speeds are interrelated.

Otherwise, the other people are just damn slow.

I normally limit my upstream to 75 to 80% of my max and have 4 or 6 max concurrent uploads going and get good speeds with that.

My question is how do you access Bittorrent's settings anyway.. I have version 3.4.1 and there is no actual start Icon's. Bittorrent just start a download screen as soon as i click on a link, but there is no menu's at the top of the screen.. Is there a way to set the preference menu etc ?????

We were referring to shadow's client which is downloadable from:
http://www.bittornado.com/download.html that has these options you can configure it with.
