 Post subject: ISP packet shaping
PostPosted: Mon Feb 06, 2006 2:42 pm
I have been trying to help out a friend setup bittornado but it looks like his ISP is running some kind of packet shaping. I noticed some of the clients have started to give users the ability to encrypt their BT packets which seems to completely get around packet shaping (for now) assuming there are other users on the torrent that also have encryption enabled.
I was just wondering if there were any plans for encryption capabilities being added to bittornado.
Also, I run it on my server and it would be nice if there were a version of btdownloadcurses.py that had an option for encryption that I could use with unix.
