hey guys, help me w/ this. i am using prolink 8000 and i know that this is not a router or something. and im using win 2000 w/o firewall. but i still got the yellow damn light.. i don't know what the hell is wrong about my download speed. i know i should download more than 10kbps b'cause im using dsl right now. any suggestion from how can i fix this problem

Have you tried opening some extra ports?

Each router is different so you may need to ref to the manual on how to do so.

Whats hardware is in ya box?

Your ISP may be firewalling your connection on most ports...if so,you have to find a port that's not firewalled. There are tools online to do so:

Your DSL modem may have a mini-router built into it that needs to be configured.

Btw, you should not be completely unfirewalled and connected to the internet. Your computer will be hit by nasties...probably auto-infected in less than 1 hour. BitTornado only needs a small range of ports forwarded, the rest need to be firewalled...unless you need them forwarded for other reasons.
