Whenever i close a downloading torrent, and restart it, it doesnt seem to download from where it stopped, it goes a few mbs back! why does that happen? Do i need to do file allocation before i close or cancel a ongoing downloading torrent to make it pick up from where it left?
PLs help!

its propably due to fact that bittorrent clients download in chunks and when you close the client the chunk that its currently getting is not fully downloaded and you loose it. It works out to be several Mbs. There is nothing you can do bout it. I think. Its just the way the client gets the data packets.

The new fast resume system does a decent job of preserving chunks, so it should restart at the same point it stopped.
