I'm sorry for asking this, but I've looked everywhere and I can't find the answer to this question. I am experiencing download speeds of <1- 15 kb/s. I have enabled ports 1661 - 1669 in my network connections, but the speed is still very slow. I am hearing of speeds of 240 kb/s, and these speeds are really bugging me. Can anyone help?

Anyone? I really don't want to have to leave my computer on overnight to download a 1GB file...

Did you tell your BT client to use that range?

Did you intelligently cap your upload rate?

I've opened ports 6881- 6899, and I set that as my port range, but now, for some reason, I'm getting yellow lighted.

bittornado by default uses a random port between 10000 and 50000, but you can change that. just make sure that whatever bittornado is using is set up on the router too.
