lol it MAY effect your downloadspeed

Example of the share-ratio:

you download 1000KB you upload 900KB that means your ratio will be 0.900

In other words it shows how much you uploaded compared to what you downloaded.

If you want it to be higher, upload more ;p

Leave the client running after the download is complete, and it will upload more.

Unless you're using Comcast, in which case you should dump them and get DSL. :-P
