I'm trying to use ALTQ not to cap the maximum upload, but to prioritize traffic on my network using a FreeBSD router.

The problem comes in, I think, from BT not connecting to remote peers using the ports specified in the [minport, maxport] range on the local side, forcing themselves out of the ALTQ rule, and ruining the prioritizing of traffic.

I was wondering if anyone has a patch, or has a suggestion as to where I can look to convince BT to use one of the specified ports to bind to before connection to remote peers.

It was tried already to do such binding, things didn't play nice.
