I'm downloading a large file that is about 4.5 gigs in size. It has reached over 4 gigs and is 91.3 percent finished but will not go any further. This Error message comes up:

IO Error [Errno 28] Not enough space on device

The thing is, I have 12 gigs free on my hard drive. Please tell me what to do.
Thankyou

You're probably saving to a FAT32 partition. FAT32 has a file size limit. NTFS does not.

(Or rather, NTFS's limit is obscenely high and basically doesn't matter)

You'll have to transfer it to a better partition/filesystem and resume.
