Bittornado doesnt like files starting with a dot and gives the error "got bad file info". Just skipping the file name starting with a dot could solve this problem. It would be nice if one can select the files to download before the start of the download. Instead of starting the torrent and then clicking on details and selecting dont download. Just an usability improvement of the client.

That's a good idea. The BitTorrent protocol spec disallowed files starting with a dot for security reasons, but that was before anyone had a client which could selectively download files. But it'll be complicated to implement, so don't wait up. :-P

Agreed that it would be complicate to start of with the ability select files, but how about the ability that when there are files starting with dot, the user can click on details and set the file to "dont download" and the resume the torrent. This might be easier to implement.
