Post subject: | Light always yellow!! Awfully slow speeds. |
Hello, I never had these problems before. I recently installed windows xp sp2 64 bit on my new computer and now my torrents are awfully wrong. I was reading online about that SP2 has some limited connection with a file they put in called tcpip.sys that i already got a fix for this and changed my max connections to 1000 from the default 10. I noticed that for every torrent i try running i get download speeds of anywhere from 1kb/s to 20kbs, never higher and the little light icon is yellow on every torrent. I also had my friend test a file on his computer and he would get 300kbs and i tried the same file on my comp and i wouldnt even get 10kbs.. The torrents i try downloading all have over 1000 seeds, but i never got more than 5. Please help me out |

It seams that Bittornado is for Win XP 32bits (w32): Code: http://www.bittornado.com/download.html
So try this first, just choose between XP 64 and Bittornado. If you want keep W64, just find a compatible torrent client. If you want to keep Tornado, choose W32 ^^ And yeah, the "tcpip.sys" thing does not decrease downloads, it just limits number of SIMULTANEOUS new connections, but not the entire number of connections. You [just] can't connect more than 10 new peers per seconde (600/minute). Ten minutes later and you're a six thousand peers connected man (if allowed by your BT client )! |
