Hi,

I got a problem... I have a wery good connection 100Mbits..
The problem i have (I run Linux) is that i can "only" dowload in a maximum 3.5MB/Sec because of my slow CPU 900mhz.
i get a cpu load up to 100%. so the problem isn't a firewall or something like that.

My question is now, does anyone have some tip for me to tweak this up a bit?

i've tried the "doube check" switch. but it still dont loesen up the load on the Cpu.

i've search the forum but could not find anyone with a simular problem.

Hay guy, i don't know how much money you can spend, but if you can, just change your CPU!!!

Take a little 64 Sempron or X2, it's not expensive, even with the mobo needed for (i.e asrock).

You can boost your PC just spending 100$!!!

If you can't buy new Proc, just try to overclock the one you have.

Can't do nothing else for you ^^

i also use linux and have a shit cpu (not as shit as yours though :))
couple of tips that might help;

cap your upload to 75% - 90% of your true bandwidth
flooding your modem or router will cause cpu usage.
i personally use the 'automatic' setting in BT, does the job.

config.gui.ini tweaks,
crypto_allowed = 0 (obviously keep on if ur isp caps)
display_interval = 2 (i leave BT for days at a time so 2 is fine)
double_check = 0
max_connections = 100 (or less, no more is 'ever' needed)
triple_check = 0
