Fairly new to this site and I am getting an error message "bad data from tracker-bad bencoded data". I can not connect to download or seed torrents! |

Try a torrent on a different tracker. You may be behind a transparent web proxy that's altering the tracker data. |

The problem isn't always to do with the tracker although there are some trackers which always do this. (uTorrent is OK for them so why not BT?). I have noticed that ANY torrent created by utorrent 1.8 also causes this error BEFORE it even attempts to connect to the tracker. A fix for these issues would be really great as more torrents get created by utorrent 1.8. The problem isn't insurmountable, other clients can handle the problematic trackers/torrents. Thanks JAB |
