I just installed the EXPERIMENTAL T-0.3.0 build, on Windows 98 SE and btdownloadgui.exe will not run at all. The following is from the error log:

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "btdownloadgui.py", line 2295, in ?
File "btdownloadgui.py", line 2161, in run
File "btdownloadgui.py", line 2164, in _run
File "btdownloadgui.py", line 2129, in __init__
File "BitTornado\ConfigReader.pyc", line 91, in __init__
File "BitTornado\ConfigDir.pyc", line 94, in __init__
OSError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '~\\.BitTornado'

I tried completely uninstalling, then reinstalling Bittorndo with no luck. Any suggestions as to what could be wrong?

I have the same issue. Running WIn 98. I suspect that the installer is better for Winxp

Uhhh, FAT doesn't like foldernames beginning with a dot.
Wait for a hotfix.

Would someone do me a favor? Open a DOS window, type "set > set.txt", then paste that output here? Thanks...

I also had this problem, but didn't say anything because you had enough reports. For anyone else wondering, It's been fixed in 0.3.1 - that was amazingly fast. Thanks TheSHAD0W!
