Post subject: Yellow and green lights
PostPosted: Mon Apr 26, 2004 7:52 pm
This might be a stupid question but I'm downloading multiple files. Three of my downloads have green lights but the fourth has a yellow light, and is d/l very slowly. Is the problem on my end or on theirs?

Thanks.

You can click the status light to get an explanation about the meaning of the colors.
In most cases yellow means that you are firewalled and you cannot receive any incoming connections. For every torrent you are running you need to open one port, so starting with port 6881 (prefs, port range), you would need ports 6881-6884 opened.

If your ISP is sticking you behind a transparent web proxy, you may have problems getting green lights on torrents where the tracker is run on port 80 (the standard http port).
