I can't seem to find this info anywhere...what do the O. , L. first I. , first C. , second I., second C., and S. stand for? and what does it mean when they have a * (unless that becomes obvious when I find out what the initials mean)

Thanks in advance :D

Now to figure out what Optimisted Unchoke, Interested, Interesting, Choking, Choked, and Snubbed mean

I can take a stab at these. I'm not b/t expert, but this is how I understand them:

Optimistic Unchoke: I'm guessing this is giving preferential treatment based on how "close" they are to you (this translates to speed)

Interested: you have pieces they want/need

Choking: temporarily ignore this peer -- this seems to cycle through (correlates to the number of peers you allow to d/l)

Interesting: has pieces you want/need

Choked: they're temporarily ignoring you (probably for same reason as above)

Snubbed: they're REALLY ignoring you (this might be related to them getting a bad chunk from your client)

If any of these are wrong, feel free to correct me.

Garry

Optimistic unchoke: randomly selected peer that is choked will be allowed to download from you. This is to encourage new peers to unchoke you (tit-for-tat and all that)

Snubbed: peer hasn't requested/given data to you for over a set period of time (minute?)

Choking: peers that upload to you the fastest will generally be unchoked by you so that they can download from you. Each peer will only upload to a few other peers "choking" the rest in the meantime.
