Because of the recent Legal Aggreement Changes Shadow will not be taking any modifications that the BitTorrent creator makes.

Under what license is BitTornado released? Is this one not compatible with the MIT license of BitTorrent?

Why would he not incorporate new code because of the license change, and what would make you say that?

I see no evidence, from Shadow or anyone else, that this should be true. Furthermore, the new BitTorrent license allows you to include the code from it in any other OSI-licensed project, so long as you release the relevant portions of the source...since he's already doing that, I don't see a conflict here.

Read down a page or two, found the relevant topic.

Looks like Shad0w is indeed breaking with the 'official' codebase. More info here.

Stupid random license change.

I have no doubt that any features in the 'official' client that are useful will end up in BitTornado sooner or later. Changing isnt worth it. BitTornado is too nice :)

Without breaking the new license - will there be some work on making the client a multi-torrent client?

I tried the new one discussed and that was the only good thing about it - quickly changed back. So I'm curious...

Might not look the prettiest, but the single port is a definate plus point to the official. Now that know that python is capable of it, it's something to look forward to.
